This is a narrative poem(ish) that I wrote. It is about developing self-love and trusting your inner guidance.
I’m not the best with words. I don’t speak gracefully and I don’t have perfect cadence. In fact, I stutter sometimes. I have a hard time with pronunciation, now more so since the tooth that was pulled would coax my tongue into forming words. And, I was never the person who, when speaking, could lull the room into silence. That wasn’t me. But, I have a voice.
My voice tells truths. It whispers truths to me in the quiet of the night. It carries the wisdom of ages and follows the flow of energy that serves love and I hear that when I listen closely. I have learned to trust my voice. Through the years It has led me to my heart. I will always speak even when no one is listening because I have truth to spread And love to spread And my soul to honor. My voice is strong. Powerful. Loving.
I have a voice. And so do you. Even when no one stops to hear you. Even when they talk over you. Even when no one believes in you. You can. You can believe you. Your heart that guides you will lead you forward to ears that can hear. You can trust your inner wisdom and let that knowing bring you even closer to love.
And one day, you will awake to find that it no longer matters that no one is listening. You are listening. It no longer matters. And, yet now they stop. They stop to hear you. They sense the truth and can hear you speak and are lulled to silence. You are open to sharing your words. You are happy to share the truth but it no longer matters if they hear you. You hear you.
